Registration

Who attends GXC?

Attendees include professionals who want to elevate their knowledge regarding therapeutic practices, treatment models, and the latest innovations in mental health, addiction, and holistic wellness. They include therapists, counselors, clinical staff, CEOs, business development staff, psychologists, psychiatrists, admissions staff, consultants, nurses, nurse practitioners, private practitioners, program directors, recovery coaches, social workers, interventionists, and people in recovery. People in recovery are welcome to attend for personal development and well-being and there is an AA meeting held every morning. 

What are the dates / location for the 2024 Global Exchange Conference?

The conference takes place October 6 to October 9, 2024, at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort.

What does my registration include?

Registration includes access to all workshops, keynote speaker sessions, and panel discussions. The exhibit hall will be open and includes a Wellness Center where you can try a variety of biohacks, such as cold-plunge tubs and biosound healing beds. There is an opening night reception on Sunday, Oct. 6 which includes buffet style dinner, music and entertainment. On Tuesday we head to Universal’s Islands of Adventure for an exclusive evening just for conference attendees. Food, rides, entertainment and transportation are included. Continental breakfast is served each morning in the exhibit hall. Continuing Education units are included in your registration.

What is not included?

Hotel is additional, though we have secured great rates at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts as well as The Swan Reserve. Travel to and from the conference is not included. Meals are not included other than two dinners and three continental breakfasts. (You can register for a clinician or CEO lunch with a guest speaker at an additional rate.) Disney charges for parking at the hotel conference center. 

What is included with the VIP Registration?

VIP Registration includes expedited registration on site, VIP seating in general sessions, access to the VIP/Sponsor lounge, priority seating on the buses heading to Universal's Islands of Adventure.

I can no longer attend GXC this year. Do you refund tickets?
  1. All requests to cancel or substitute registrants must be made in writing by email at info@theglobalexchangeconference.com.
  2. Substitution of registrations will be made at no charge
  3. A 100% refund (less $50 processing fee) will be extended if cancellation is received prior to July 6th, 2024
  4. A 50% refund will be extended on registration cancellations received between July 6th, 2024 and September 6th, 2024
  5. Registration fees will be forfeited on cancellations received after September 6th, 2024.
  6. All refunds will be processed after the meeting.
Is the GXC held in an accessible venue?

Yes, The Walt Disney World Dolphin Resort is an accessible venue. You may want to consider renting an electric scooter from one of the many purveyors in the Orlando area.

When does the early bird rate end?

The early bird rate of $899 ends on June 30, 2024. The VIP early bird rate is $1,250. After July 1 the rates go up to $1,050 standard and $1,350 for VIP.

I want to attend GXC, but I’m having trouble convincing my boss. Can you help?

GXC brings together professionals and organizations for four days of continual workshops, panels and experiences focused on mental health, addiction treatment, and holistic wellness. It is the premier event for discussing new strategies, collaborating with peers, driving new perspectives, gaining insights and participating in professional development sessions. Past attendees comment on the tangible take-aways they brought back to the office. Others shared that they felt renewed and rejuvenated and able to return to work feeling inspired and motivated. The GXC enables attendees to not only grow professionally but transform personally. World renowned speakers provide life-changing growth and learning. The conference is an exciting team-building opportunity and chance for staff to enjoy camaraderie with like-minded professionals

Can I purchase tickets on the day of the conference?

If there is space available, tickets will be available the first day of the conference.

Will GXC offer a virtual experience?

No, there is no virtual experience offered.

Are meals included with my registration pass?

There is an opening night reception on Sunday, Oct. 6 with buffet dinner served; dinner is also included on Tuesday Oct. 8 at Universal’s Islands of Adventure with options from The Burger Digs at Jurassic Park and Three Broomsticks Restaurant at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and snacks are available throughout the park; Continental Breakfast is served in the exhibitor hall each morning. You can add one or more clinician lunches with guest speakers for an additional fee.

When can I register for the golf tournament?

Shortly, you will be able to add golf to your registration. The golf tournament takes place on Sunday, October 6 at Walt Disney World Disney’s The Palm Golf Course, beginning at 8:00am. Transportation from The Dolphin to the golf course will be provided.

When can I start putting my booth up?

General move-in is Sunday, October 6, 2024 from 8am to 6pm; breakdown is Wednesday October 9, at 12:00pm.

What are the exhibit days and hours?

Monday, October 7 from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Tuesday, October 8 from 8:00am to 5:00pm

Wednesday, October 9 from 8:00am to 12:00pm

How early can I send the material for my booth to the hotel?

Once you have registered your booth you will receive additional information from Freeman Services, a national event company. Standard booths are 10’ X 10’ and island booths are available. Each booth has a skirted table, text-only ID sign, two chairs, a wastebasket, but no electrical (must be ordered separately). 

Can I sell my products during GXC?

If you are interested in selling a product in the exhibit hall, please send an email request to info@theglobalexchangeconference.org 

Is there WiFi in the exhibit hall?

Wifi is sketchy in the exhibit hall. You can sign up for WiFi when you register your booth.

Continuing Education Units

How many CEUs can I receive during the conference?

We are offering over 50 potential CEUs from world-renowned presenters and educators. Attendees can expect to earn 20 over the course of the conference.

Is there a consolidated list of all presentation titles and topics available at the conference?

What is the application and selection process for becoming a presenter?

Applications to present at GXC2024 are now closed. You can look out for an online form to complete in January 2025 for GXC2025. There is a committee who review the applications and select the speakers.

Does GXC have a dress code?

Business casual, or just casual is fine. The conference center is air-conditioned, so a sweater or light jacket is a good idea.

Are family members permitted to accompany attendees to the park events?

Family members will be able to purchase access to the exclusive evening at Universal’s Islands of Adventure before the conference for a price of $250 per ticket. Attendees will receive information about the registration process via email before the conference begins. Access to Universal’s Islands of Adventure can only be purchased online and not at the conference site. Transportation from The Dolphin is included in the price of the ticket. No charge for children under three years of age. Food, snacks and attractions are included.

Are there any scholarships available for the GXC2024?

The Global Exchange Conference is a 501c3 non-profit organization and we look forward to offering scholarships in the future. Unfortunately, we are not in a financial situation where we can do so for 2024.  We do offer a $500 student rate. Please send an email to info@theglobalexchangeconference.org for more details. Many companies are willing to reimburse their staff for attending GXC for their professional development and you can earn Continuing Education units by attending.

How often is this conference offered?

The Global Exchange is an annual event.

Are there partial or reduced rates available?

The Global Exchange Conference is a 501c3, non-profit organization and at this time we are, unfortunately, unable to offer partial or reduced registrations. Many companies are willing to reimburse their staff for attending GXC for their professional development and you can earn Continuing Education units. 

Will the sessions be recorded to view on-demand after the conference?

Yes, the sessions will be recorded at GXC2024!

Is there a discount for groups?

Yes, there are discounts for groups of 6 or more. If you bring a group of 5 people, the 6th goes free. Or, you can spread out the savings of $150 per person among your group of six. 

Reserve 10 people and 3 go free; or each of the 13 registered save $257. 

Reserve 20 and 8 go free, a $257 savings per person for your group of 28.

Is there a daily parking fee if I stay at an alternate hotel?

Yes, if you drive to the conference Disney collects a parking fee. This is one reason why it makes sense to book your hotel through the conference.  There are discounted hotel rates for The Swan & Dolphin and The Swan Reserve. Is there transportation from Orlando Airport?

We do not organize transportation but you can book the Sunshine Flier for a nominal fee. There are plenty of UBER and Lyft rides available at the airport.

Are CEUs included in my registration?

Yes, just be sure that you sign in and sign out of every session at the conference to receive your CEUs.

Is virtual participation available?

Unfortunately, GXC2024 does not offer virtual participation.
