With more than 1 in 5 American adults navigating mental health struggles (and an even higher percentage of adolescents,) there is a rising demand for mental health professionals and their services. In the United States, more than a million professionals work directly with clients facing behavioral, emotional, and mental health challenges — but that barely scratches the surface of the growing needs of our nation. Beneath such presenting issues as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders lies a common thread: trauma.
The GXC Discovery Intensive was designed to offer participants the unique opportunity to explore and experience different types of trauma therapy modalities first-hand, helping them to better understand the significance of specialized trauma treatment and trauma-informed care (TIC) in comprehensively addressing the effects of trauma.
The GXC Discovery Intensive will provide resources for attendees to better serve themselves — and, ultimately, the welfare of their clients — by experiencing their own healing. Too often, we navigate this world through the lens of our own wounds, unintentionally impacting the work we do with our teams and clients and leaving us disconnected from the people we love the most.
Led by world-class facilitators, including Dr. Tian Dayton, Dr. Richard Schwartz, Onsite team members, and Judy Crane LMHC, CSAT, CAP, CEO of the Guest House, this immersive experience will be a practical and meaningful step towards accelerating our daily work by prioritizing our deeper work.
The intensive will begin with hands-on exercises, such as “Sociometrics” with Dr. Tian Dayton, “Internal Family Systems parts work” with Dr. Richard Schwartz, and the trauma egg with Judy Crane. These brilliant clinicians will guide participants through the exercises, with the intent of helping them to develop further empathy, compassion, and genuine therapeutic presence.
In the afternoon, the Onsite team will facilitate group connection and healing activities. Attendees will experience the transformative work that has changed tens of thousands of lives over the last 45 years.
By joining this intensive, attendees will gain a deeper connection with themselves, and access to new tools to support their own needs — as well as those of their clients and teams. They also will cultivate a renewed understanding of the importance of self-discovery, creating a safe and transformative space to address personal trauma, enhance self-awareness, and foster a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery and growth for both themselves and their clients.
Together, we can curate an environment of healing for our clients, our colleagues, and our communities.
