GXC On Tour is a national event series hosted by Deran Young, licensed therapist and founder of Black Therapists Rock. Designed as a one-day learning and community-building experience, each event explores how shame drives disconnection – and how we interrupt that cycle through relationship, regulation, and responsive care. With clinical depth and cultural resonance, this tour brings Global Exchange programming to cities across the U.S. and beyond.
Rooted in the mission of the Global Exchange Conference, GXC On Tour is a live event series offering trauma-informed education, community dialogue, and continuing education credits for care providers of all kinds.
Each tour stop brings together nationally recognized speakers, including clinicians, authors, researchers, and cultural leaders working at the intersection of healing and justice. Led by Deran Young, and presented in partnership with Black Therapists Rock and Collectively Rooted, these events are grounded in real-world care, clinical best practices, and an understanding of how shame shapes behavior, disconnection, and systemic harm.

GXC On Tour is for the village. These events are designed for professionals, practitioners, and advocates who show up for others – whether in hospitals, schools, community centers, crisis teams, shelters, or spiritual spaces.
If you are part of the care web – clinical or community – you belong here. CE credits are available for eligible professionals, but licensure is not required to attend.
