Zina Rodriguez

Zina is a social worker with over 20+ years of experience in marketing and clinical operations. She has held senior leadership positions for national and global behavioral health care companies where she has served as Executive Director and in Senior Marketing and Business Development roles. Zina has successfully launched de novo facilities, leading multi-disciplinary teams with the development of clinical programming, policy, and procedures and successful obtainment of licensure and accreditation. In her business development roles, Zina has led admissions, outreach, and marketing teams in the development and execution of strategic marketing plans to achieve census goals. As a Certified Diversity Executive, Zina collaborates with treatment providers on the development of transformational DEI strategies that align with their mission and values. She provides organizations with tools and trainings to hardwire DEI within their organizational plans by developing sustainable, ongoing and marketing. She is a global speaker on topics related to culture, diversity, equity, and inclusion in behavioral health care. Zina has served as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University School of Social Work. She holds a MSW with a concentration in Administration from Fordham University, a BSW degree from Rutgers University, and a Masters Level Addiction Professional Certification. Zina co-hosts “Colors of Recovery”, a podcast covering a range of topics related to mental health, substance abuse and recovery within marginalized communities. initiatives that holds them accountable to keeping systems, processes, and goals inclusive to employees, clients and communities. Zina has worked internationally which has allowed her to develop a specialty in multi-cultural program development.

  • Learn about culturally responsive tools that address race-based stress and cultural trauma
  • Review strategies to address cultural differences as well as reduce and repair offenses that can damage the therapeutic relationship
  • Discuss how therapeutic conversations can promote healing and strength for marginalized communities who are exposed to daily macro- and microaggressions.
